Someone else in our class has passed away. I just learned this today. It happened in a Walnut Creek hospital in mid-December, but since I have only read this on a Facebook page I am reluctant to post the name online until I can post something more official (like a news clipping) or hear something from the family. If you e-mail me directly, I will tell you what I know.

I still have nothing more than Facebook comments about this situation. Strange that I have not seen an obituary or other official record. Yes, I could write the Facebook posters, but maybe I'm trying to avoid the issue a bit.
It has been nearly a year and the name of this person popped up on Facebook today, so I sent an e-mail to one of the friends who had written about this event in December of 2011. And I am sorry to confirm that our Student Body President for 1978-79, Noelle Flanagan, did indeed die in December 2011 at John Muir Hospital in Walnut Creek.
Over the course of the past year, I have attempted to verify this information with a newspaper obituary or other official records, but I never found anything except the original Facebook discussion among some Class of '79 members. I have no other details except that she has left behind a very saddened group of friends and family. A memorial service was held for Noelle last December.
